A Look Ahead

Happy New Year!

We hope you had a great 2014 and have an even better 2015. We spent the New Years at the Grand Canyon where it had snowed all the way down to the river. This is something that only happens about every 10-15 years.

As we continue our drive home I thought now would be a perfect time to do a post and give you an idea of what's ahead for the Davies.

Zed begins training on his aircraft this month and should complete it in April. From there he will continue to become comfortable with the plane and we expect he will deploy sometime this year. Say a prayer it's not over Christmas.

I will continue to learn the manpower world and keep up with our little girls. I plan to run a half marathon in April, I'll keep you up to date how that goes.

Mia turns 2 this year which means sleeping in a big girl bed and using the potty aren't far away. I'm sure there will be stories that go along with both.

Ana will turn 1 in July. She'll be crawling any day now and I'm sure walking in a few months too. She wants to keep up with her sister.

This year is looking to be one of exploring the new state we live in and enjoying as much time together as we can.

Happy New Year to you! Stay tuned for more adventures from the Davies.

Merry Christmas - a little late

Merry belated Christmas! We hope all of you enjoyed time with family and friends. This year we traveled to Oregon. We rented an expedition and drove from Oklahoma to Colorado and stayed with Zed's sponsor family. We then traveled to Utah and stayed with Zed's aunt and uncle and had dinner with his paternal grandparents. From there we went to Idaho and stayed with another aunt of Zed's and visited with his maternal grandparents and aunts. We finally made it to Oregon where we went to 2 basketball games, fed cows, went on a sleigh ride, and spent some much needed visiting with family. Mia and Ana were spoiled by their uncles and Grandpa and Grandma. We were able to facetime with Erik (brother #4) who is currently serving a mission in western Australia. On our way home we'll be going by way of Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Albuquerque, and then back to Oklahoma. Enjoy the pictures and look for another post at the New Year.
