She's 2 months old, it's hard to believe. She's completed a full week at the CDC and doing great. She loves that there is always someone around even if its just another kid. She's still rolling over. Her sleep schedule is finally bearable, she goes down at 830 and will wake up at 3 and 6. We've learned it at 8 we give her a bath, and then feed her it gets her relaxed and she easily goes to bed. She's more comfortable just laying in her crib for a little bit too. According to the bathroom scale she weighs a little over 11lbs. That means she's gained about 4lbs in 2 months. She has her 2 month checkup and shots next week.
Zed is doing amazing in this academic phase of pilot training. Out of all the exams they've taken, 4, he's only missed 4 questions. That puts him in the top 10% of his class with a 97% average! It's crazy to think he's already finished halfway finished with Phase I.
Work is going well for me. I've had to learn very quickly and sometimes not always in the most agreeable ways. Mia's first day at the CDC was tough, but I'm a lot better now. I don't think I'll ever be 100% happy not being with her, but it's what we've got to do.
We had a great visit with my dad and then my mom's sister. Its always nice to have family around. we have no scheduled visitors for a while, which is a little nice, but we look forward to whoever comes next. Since things are slowing down I'll only be posting updates every few weeks. I'll be sure to keep the pictures coming though.

7wks
Well, this is our last week with family. Mia will start day care in a week. We had an amazing visit with Stacy and Elaine, Zed's parents. It was nice to be able to go back to work and know Mia was with family. My dad is here this week helping out before he heads to Iraq and we're glad to have him.
Zed did really well last week. He got a 97% on his first written test and a 92% on his second. His schedule for this week is below. Today he did parachute training and pictures are below.
My first week back wasn't so bad. I was exhausted by Friday, but it went well. This week I'll continue to shadow so I can learn what it is my people do day to day.
Mia is doing awesome. She's growing so fast. This weekend she rolled from her belly to her back. Zed would lay on the floor in front of her and encourage her and over she would roll. We would put her back on her belly and she'd go over again. She tolerated our enjoyment from her for about ten rolls. She's holding her head up really well too, we barely have to support her neck anymore.

6 weeks is up
Well the life of being a stay at home mom is over for me and the life of a casual LT is over for Zed. We are both back to real life. Thankfully Zed's parents are here to help ease the transition.
My first day back went ok. Leaving her was tough, but the day went ok. Some days are going to be harder than others, but today was a good day.
Zed has already completed a physical fitness test and a memorized test. Tomorrow he gets to wear a flight suit and possibly go in the altitude chamber. All he has this week from 7-5 is physiology so the schedule is pretty boring. He does have his first academic test on Thursday.
New with Mia:
She is sleeping for about 4-5hrs at a time now which is awesome at night. She is starting to coo and smiles back at you, sometimes. She smiles most when her diaper is being changed. We've started using the bumbo, but we have to prop her up in it or she falls over. She loves her bath, she splashes and smiles and it's when she's happiest. She's in a growing spurt right now so she's eating 5oz at a time.

Weekly Update
New Tricks:
She now follows people and objects with her eyes and head as they move in front of her.
Sleeping:
When I picked her up out of her crib this morning she had done a 180 and her arm and leg were sticking between the slats...she's a mover. She's still sleeping about 3hrs at a time during the night.
Eating:
Starting to eat more around 4-5oz at a time.
Other Things:
We had a great visit with Melissa Bringhurst, one of our host mom's from the Academy. Mia got to go where Elvis got his first guitar in Tupelo, MS and visited his home in Graceland. Our next guests come in on Monday...Grandpa and Grandma Davies! Lets just say Stacy and Elaine are super excited to meet her.
Zed & Sam:
Zed completed Woodbadge this past weekend and has received his scheduled for the next 7wks. It looks like his days will go from 7/8 to 5 every day. There are a few that start earlier than 7 and a few that go later than 5 but this first stage seems pretty manageable time wise. There is a picture of his schedule for this week below. I had my post delivery checkup and things are great. I'm cleared to work out again which I'm excited about. This is my last week of maternity, I start back to work April 2nd.

One Month Old
New Tricks:
She got really mad and rolled from her belly to her back. She is also smiling a lot more
Eating:
She's eating about 5oz every 2-3hrs
Sleeping:
Some nights are better than others, but she's sleeping between 2 and 5 hrs at a time at night depending on how much we play with her during the day.
Other Things:
So I weighed myself while holding Mia and not holding her and there was a 9.4lb difference. My cousin Rachael is here for the week and is enjoying our warm weather and Mia. We had a tornado warning yesterday. None hit near us but there were some in Alabama.
Zed and Sam:
Zed has started memorizing things for pilot training and has started get pre-flight physicals. Next week he'll be taking different sleeping and energy pills to figure out what works best for when he starts flying. I have my post delivery check up on Friday and will hopefully be cleared to start working out again.
