Mia Moira Davies

She was born at 3:41pm after 18min of pushing. She was born with 10 fingers and 10 toes and a head full of inch long dark hair. She weighed in at 6lbs 13oz and is 20in long. Both her and I are doing great. Zed did an amazing job giving motivation along the way. We're all pretty tired but keep an eye out for pictures.

So I've been admitted into the hospital. Since there has been no progression for 5wks they inserted a balloon to get things moving. They'll induce me tomorrow. Keep an eye out for updates.

40wks

Well, she's fully cooked, but still doesn't want to come out. I'm still at 2cm. The induce date has been set for the 19th if she doesn't come before then. They're currently estimating that she weighs 8lbs 2oz, so she'll be a chunker. Enjoy the pictures.

News!

No baby news, just news on Zed.

He will be starting pilot training on April 2nd with a current track select date of Sep 23rd. He will be in academics for a month and then 4 months flying the T-6. On 23 Sep he will find out if he'll be flying helos, fighters, or heavies (cargo and tanker planes). Depending on which he gets he will either go to Alabama for helos for 6 months or stay here in Columbus for 6 months learning to fly the T-1 if he pulls heavies or the T-38 if he pulls fighters. He wants a helo spot first, then a heavy spot and finally a fighter spot. The decision will be made based on his class rank and what spots are currently available in the Air Force.

If he does not get a helo spot he will find out in March 2014 what his aircraft will be and what his first flying base will be. I will also be able to change bases at this time and follow him.

We're excited to finally have news and look forward to this stage of Zed's career.

39 weeks

Well, our little angel is not ready to grace us with her presence yet. She is stubborn just like her parents. We had a check up today and nothing has changed except she's gained some weight. I'm still at 2cm even with walking 4-6 miles every day this past week. We will continue trying but she will come when she's ready.

Almost done...

Well, we've hit 38wks and our little girl hasn't graced us with her presence yet. No change in dilation, so still 2cm, but a ton more false labor pains.

I've been walking 4 miles a day, except yesterday I did 6, trying to coax her out. Next appointment is on the 7th so maybe we'll see more progression then. Stay posted and we'll let you know as soon as there's an update.

Week 37

Baby Davies currently weighs 5lbs 11oz. We were able to see her in 4D and she currently has a thick head of hair. I'm dilated 2cm and can start exercising again! The crib, pack n play, bouncer, and stroller are all assembled and ready to be used. Still no name, but I'm sure we'll decide on one soon.
